The Toyota GR Supra, a name synonymous with sports car heritage and thrilling performance, is reaching the pinnacle of its current generation with the announcement of a spectacular Toyota Supra Final Edition. This limited-run model isn’t just a cosmetic upgrade; it’s a celebration of the Supra’s motorsport spirit and a testament to Toyota GAZOO Racing’s (TGR) dedication to pushing driving boundaries. Alongside this ultimate edition, Toyota also unveils the GR Supra Lightweight EVO, promising an even more visceral connection to the road.
Born from the legendary lineage of front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports cars, the GR Supra has always embodied the perfect balance of power and agility. As the first global model conceived by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, the GR Supra carries the torch of Toyota’s motorsport passion into the hands of enthusiasts worldwide. To honor the loyal fanbase and the Supra’s continued success in global motorsports, TGR has engineered the Toyota Supra “A90 Final Edition” as the definitive expression of this generation. This special edition boasts significant enhancements, including a power boost of 95 DIN hp (70 kW) and 70 Nm of torque, striking aerodynamic enhancements, a track-ready KW suspension, and wider, performance-focused tires. While marking the end of production for the current GR Supra with the A90 Final Edition, Toyota confirms that the GR Supra legacy will continue to evolve through ongoing motorsport endeavors.
For drivers craving an even sharper, more connected driving experience, the motorsport-inspired GR Supra Lightweight EVO emerges as the answer. Focusing on enhanced handling, this iteration delivers a more direct and precise feel through refined suspension and chassis components, improved braking, optimized tuning, and aerodynamic tweaks.
A Legacy Forged in Performance: The Supra Story
Since its inception in 1978 as the Celica Supra, this iconic model has captivated enthusiasts with its classic front-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration and inline-six-cylinder engine – a formula consistently cherished across generations. From public roads to demanding race circuits, the Supra has consistently delivered exhilarating driving experiences.
After a 17-year hiatus, the Supra made a triumphant return in 2019, fueled by the unwavering passion of Toyota’s Chairman Akio Toyoda, also known as Master Driver Morizo. Toyoda’s words at the time resonated deeply with fans: “Back in the day, I spent countless hours driving an old Supra at Nürburgring to become a master driver. Supra is like an old friend that holds a special place in my heart… The new GR Supra was born through testing at Nürburgring, and I can honestly say that it is a car that is fun to drive and better than ever.”
The current GR Supra has continuously evolved since its 2019 launch. The introduction of a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine in 2020 broadened the Supra’s appeal, offering a lighter, more agile option alongside the revered 3.0-liter straight-six. In 2022, Toyota catered to purist drivers by introducing a six-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT) in Europe, meticulously engineered to complement the 3.0-liter engine’s power and torque characteristics. Simultaneously, braking and suspension systems were refined for even greater performance.

Power and Performance Elevated
Engine enhancements have significantly boosted output, increasing horsepower from 340 DIN hp (250 kW) to a formidable 435 DIN hp (320 kW), and torque from 500 Nm to 570 Nm. This translates to blistering acceleration and enhanced responsiveness, pushing the top speed to 270km/h, a 20km/h increase. These gains are achieved through a revised intake air path, a low-back-pressure catalyst for reduced pressure loss, and optimized engine control systems.
Cornering Prowess Refined
The A90 Final Edition is engineered to conquer corners with confidence, thanks to a suite of handling upgrades. Damping-force-adjustable KW suspension, the same brand utilized by the GR Supra GT4 race car, offers 16 rebound and 12 compression stages, ensuring optimal road holding across diverse driving conditions. Further cornering enhancements include adjusted front and rear wheel camber angles for increased grip and optimized active differential control to minimize understeer. Exclusive electric power steering settings further sharpen steering response, creating an even more intimate connection between driver and machine. Body reinforcement braces, including a strengthened rear luggage space crossbar, the GR Supra GT4-derived rigid aluminum rear subframe mount, and strengthened front and rear stabilizers, contribute to precise and confident driving dynamics.
Wider 10mm tires and lightweight 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, adorned with the TGR logo, further enhance grip and cornering stability, underscoring the GR Supra’s renowned handling capabilities. High-grip Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires encourage drivers to explore the limits of performance.
Braking performance is equally enhanced with 19-inch Brembo front brakes featuring high friction coefficient pads and drilled floating discs front and rear, ensuring exceptional stopping power even under demanding sports driving conditions. Stainless steel mesh brake hoses minimize pressure loss during braking, maximizing the efficiency of the uprated braking system.
To maintain peak performance under high g-forces generated by the enhanced cornering and engine output, a baffle plate has been integrated into the engine oil pan to prevent oil starvation. Cooling efficiency is also improved with a strengthened radiator cooling fan, an additional sub-radiator, and enlarged differential gear cover cooling fins.
Aerodynamic and Aesthetic Distinction
The Toyota Supra Final Edition is instantly recognizable by its unique matt black exterior finish and striking aerodynamic enhancements, developed through extensive wind tunnel testing by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe (TGR-E), leveraging their motorsport expertise and GR Supra GT4 experience. A motorsport-inspired carbon-fiber front spoiler, front canards, and front center flap work in concert with a GR Supra GT4-style carbon-fiber swan-neck rear wing to optimize aerodynamic balance, downforce, and drag, enhancing road contact and driving dynamics. A new carbon-fiber hood duct with a removable inner element provides additional cooling when needed. Further echoing the GR Supra GT4, the A90 Final Edition features an Akrapovič titanium muffler, producing a more aggressive and resonant engine note.
Interior Focused on the Driver
Inside, the cabin is meticulously crafted for the driver, featuring RECARO Podium CF full-bucket seats upholstered in racy red with Alcantara seat pads. These seats provide optimal support and comfort even under high g-forces. Red seat belts, exclusive carbon fiber scuff plates, and extensive Alcantara trim, including the driver-focused steering wheel, further emphasize the limited-edition model’s exclusivity and sporty character.
GR Supra Lightweight Evo: Enhanced Driving Connection
The GR Supra Lightweight Evo is a direct response to customer feedback and TGR’s ongoing commitment to refining cars and drivers through motorsport participation. This model elevates the driving experience through enhanced connection and precision.
Refinements to the active differential control and exclusive control maps optimize traction and reduce understeer, while revised front and rear wheel camber angles further enhance cornering grip. Larger Brembo brake discs improve braking control.

Suspension and chassis modifications, including revised electronically controlled shock absorber characteristics, a strengthened front stabilizer, strengthened rubber bushings for the front control arms, strengthened rubber mounts for the rear sub-frame, and a stronger under-body brace, enhance stability and create a more direct connection to the road. Aerodynamic enhancements, including a ducktail carbon fiber rear spoiler, new front wheel arch flaps, and higher front tyre spats, further optimize aerodynamic balance and downforce. Optimized electric power steering delivers a more direct and responsive steering feel.
The GR Supra Lightweight Evo’s bold exterior is complemented by new 19-inch matte black wheels. Inside, the genuine leather driver’s seat is upholstered in Alcantara with GR logo embroidery, while red stitching, a red highlight around the gear shift knob, and red seatbelts accentuate the sporty interior ambiance.
