2017 Toyota RAV4: Get More Value with Reduced Pricing

Toyota announced in May 2017 that the popular 2017 RAV4 crossover SUV would be offered at a more accessible price point for select gas models. This price adjustment makes the already appealing RAV4 even more attractive to budget-conscious car buyers looking for a reliable and feature-rich vehicle.

The price reduction applies to several of the RAV4’s trim levels, offering significant savings for customers. Specifically, the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) decreased by $500 for all LE models, $925 for all Limited models, $1,195 for all SE models, and a substantial $1,330 for all XLE models. These price adjustments represent savings of up to 5.0 percent on certain gas models, making the 2017 RAV4 a compelling option in the competitive compact SUV market. It’s important to note that the base MSRP for the RAV4 gas Platinum and all hybrid models remained unchanged.

To further enhance the value proposition, Toyota also introduced new Value Packages for the 2017 RAV4. These packages bundle popular equipment and features at a discounted rate, available throughout the remainder of the 2017 model year. This initiative allows buyers to equip their RAV4 with even more desirable features without breaking the bank.

The 2017 Toyota RAV4 builds upon two decades of success in the compact sport-utility segment. Known for its blend of value, style, and safety, the RAV4 continues to be a top choice for discerning drivers. A standout feature of the 2017 model is the inclusion of Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P) as a standard safety package. This advanced suite of active safety technologies is a significant selling point, making the RAV4 a leader in its class for standard safety equipment. Notably, the 2017 RAV4 is the only vehicle in its segment to offer a standard pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, highlighting Toyota’s commitment to safety innovation.

The Toyota Safety Sense P system includes a range of cutting-edge features designed to help prevent accidents and protect occupants. These features comprise: Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD), which provides forward collision warning and Automatic Emergency Braking; Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA), which helps drivers stay in their lane; Automatic High Beams (AHB) for optimized visibility at night; and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), which maintains a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead.

While the updated MSRP for the 2017 RAV4 gas models does not include the delivery, processing, and handling (DPH) fee of $960 (which may vary in Southeast Toyota and Gulf States Toyota regions), the significant price reductions and added value packages solidify the 2017 Toyota RAV4 as an excellent choice for those seeking a well-rounded and affordable compact SUV. The new pricing for the 2017 RAV4 gas models was effective immediately in May 2017.
