FC Dallas Toyota Stadium to Undergo Major Renovations

Fc Dallas Toyota Stadium, home of Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas, is set for a significant renovation project. The upgrades aim to modernize the facility, enhance the fan experience, and solidify its position as a premier venue in Major League Soccer. Originally opened in 2005, the stadium has been a catalyst for the growth of soccer-specific stadiums nationwide.

Modernizing FC Dallas Toyota Stadium for the Future

The planned renovations at FC Dallas Toyota Stadium will encompass a wide range of improvements focused on fan comfort and enjoyment. A key feature of the project is the construction of a robust roof structure designed to provide shade for a majority of the seating bowl. This will significantly improve the spectator experience, especially during hot Texas summers.

In addition to the shade structure, the renovations will include:

  • Expanded Seating Capacity: Increasing the number of available seats to accommodate growing fan demand.
  • Improved Ingress and Egress: Enhancing entry and exit points to facilitate smoother traffic flow for fans.
  • New Concession Stands and Restrooms: Adding more convenient locations for food and beverage purchases and restroom facilities.
  • Three New Clubs: Creating premium spaces for fans seeking an elevated game-day experience.
  • Renovated Entrances: Updating the north, east, and west entrances to create a more welcoming and modern aesthetic.

These improvements are part of a long-term public-private partnership aimed at ensuring the stadium remains a cornerstone of the Frisco community for the next 30 years.

Phased Construction to Minimize Disruption

To minimize disruption to the FC Dallas season, the construction will be executed in phases. Work on the east side of FC Dallas Toyota Stadium is scheduled to commence after the FCS Championship game in January 2025. The west side will remain operational throughout the 2025 MLS season, allowing FC Dallas to continue hosting matches at Toyota Stadium during the renovation process. This phased approach ensures that fans can continue to enjoy FC Dallas matches at their home stadium while the improvements are underway.

A Legacy of Success at FC Dallas Toyota Stadium

FC Dallas Toyota Stadium has a rich history, hosting numerous championship games, marquee events, and youth development leagues. The stadium’s location in Frisco, once considered remote, is now a thriving hub of activity. These renovations will build upon that legacy, ensuring the stadium remains a world-class venue for years to come. The project is a collaboration between FC Dallas, HKS Architects, and Manhattan Construction Group. The partnership reflects a commitment to excellence and a shared vision for the future of FC Dallas Toyota Stadium. The new and improved stadium will not only benefit FC Dallas fans but also contribute to the continued economic success of the Frisco community.
